The Ghana Music Right Organizations (GHAMRO) has advised Shatta Wale to channel his worries to their office and desist from resorting to media platforms.
Dance Hall king Shatta Wale in an interview on Top FMs Entertainment Show, Top Showbiz denied any payment from GHAMRO as royalties.
The ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker told host Kwame Buckman that he has not received any money as royalties from the organization through any medium including Mobile money and is demanding a further explanation from GHAMRO as to how the payment was done and the account involved.
According to him, the owner of the mobile money account into which the GHAMRO alleged to have paid an amount to has denied receiving payment of any kind.
Shatta revealed that, he has reported the issue to the Legon Police Station to carry a further investigation into the matter.
Responding to the issue on the same platform, spokesperson for GHAMRO Mr Prince Tsegah said the royalties due Shatta Wale has been paid into an account provided in 2015 by his ex-manager, friend and CEO of Bull House Entertainment, Bull Dog.
According to him, artiste like Sarkodie and Stone Bwoy have all been paid their royalties even though they are not members of the organization but were added after their contributions in the music industry could not be overlooked upon.
They all have no issues except Shatta Wale who has raised a lot of issues but has rather resorted to speculating the issue on media platforms, Mr Tsegah added.
He also declared their readiness to assist the police by providing all the necessary particulars to prove that payment has been made to Shatta Wale.
The GHAMRO spokesperson revealed that his outfit is displeased with Shatta act of turning to the media instead of contacting their office.
He finally advised him to do what is right by contacting their office.
