The Chairman of the Progressive Peoples Party, Nii Allotey Brew Hammond has emphatically stated that, the party do not know Alistair Nelson who is a member of the ‘Montie 3’ that got jailed for attacking the Chief Justice and other judges.

The Supreme Court sentenced the three Montie FM contemnors to a four months prison term each.
The three, radio presenter Salifu Maase alias Mugabe and his two panelists Alistair Tairo Nelson and Godwin Ako Gunn were convicted for making contemptious statements about the Court.
The two political commentators threatened the lives of judges of the superior court on Accra-based radio station, Montie FM. They made the statements on a programme known as ‘Pampaso’ a.k.a. ‘Bia Gya’ [Open Fire] and hosted by Mugabe.
The Montie three left the prison Friday morning after serving just one month of their four-month jail term. Their release comes after President John Mahama granted them a pardon upon the advice of the Council of State.
Alistair Nelson was a PPP communicator. He resigned n left the party. On his incarceration, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom and the PPP opened a counter petition book to keep him n his cronies in jail till they were done serving their sentences. (eventually the petition book was stolen) Now Alistair is out.
After the release of the three, TOP FM News contacted Mr. Brew Hammond on the release which he rrefused to talk on the matter saying the PPP has nothing to to do with him since since he is no more a member of the party.
Earlier on Alistair Nelson on the Montie FM program stated his resignation from the party as he says there the issues surrounding his reasons to leave the party are alot.
