President John Dramani Mahama has pushed law makers to pass the Right to Information bill into law before dissolution of the sixth house tomorrow.
He made this known in his less than an hour last State of the nation address at the house today stating the disappointment in the members of the house for their inability for the law’s passage.
Parliament is expected to sit at midnight tomorrow to clear unfinished businesses of the house before the dissolution of the 6th parliament and the inauguration of the 7th one.
The president therefore urged the law makers to ensure the passage of the bill into law.
The Right to Information Bill has been on the desk of MPs for about 13 years with the dissolution and inauguration of the house from time to time.
The majority in parliament accused the minority of dragging its feet in the passage of the bill into law during their recent sittings at the house.
