Interior Minister Ambrose Dery has signed a statement declaring Monday, 26th June, 2017 as a public holiday.
The day is aimed at celebrating Eid Ul-Fitr with Muslims across the world and the government is calling on Ghanaians to observe the day as a holiday

The general public is hereby reminded that Monday, 26th June, 2017, which marks EID UL-FITR, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
