The president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will on February Tuesday 21, 2017 deliver his first State of the Nation Address (SoNA) to Parliament.
In his maiden address to Parliament, the president is expected to tell the nation the status of the economy, how he intends maximize gains, what he came to meet and how he intends to move the nation forward in line with his agenda of change during the election that saw him ascend the throne of governance.
The President’s address would be centred on facets namely economy,food security, human security, internal security, technology and innovation, welfare of the Ghanaian people, international relations, sports development among others.
The Speaker of Parliament, Prof Mike Ocquaye made the announcement on the floor of Parliament during sitting today.
The Speaker told the members of the House of that he had received communications from the presidency indicating the president’s preparedness to come and address the House on the announced date.
