Speech writers for Presidential Candidates should write two speeches for their candidates to read after the outcome of the 2016 elections, Mr Irbad Ibrahim has advised.
The peace ambassador for election 2016 in an interview with Nana Yaa Boamponsem Ameyaw on Top FM’s Morning show dubbed Ghana Te Sen said, the delay in speeches by defeated candidates happens because they do not prepare a concession speech.
According to him, the outcome of election is very key as it brings victory to a section of people and breaks the heart of others as well.
To ensure peace and quick response after declaration of election result, speech writers should write two speeches, victory and a, concession one for the candidates, Mr Irbard added.
He cited an example of how Mrs Hilary Clinton of the just ended American elections had to wait till the next day to submit her speech to public after her defeat, this could have been prevented if a concession speech had been written, Irbard stated.
In Ghana, he said some followers might not be willing to accept the result but after an acceptance speech from the leader of the party, calm is expected to return, Irbard concluded.
