Queen Mother, Naa Yeboawa III and the elders of Oshiyie a suburb in the Greater Accra Region have joined other Ghanaians in mourning the Asantehemaa.
The whole of the Asanteman is grieving over the demise of their queen mother.
The Ghanaian community as a whole have also joined the commemoration.
Speaking to the media at a gathering today, Naa Yeboawa III sent words of condolence to the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II on the lose of his mother.
She quoted Revelations 21:4 from the scriptures to used in this hard times.
She stated her wish to be present at the funeral but quickly announced her engagement to other activities of her land.
“I and my elders wish to attend the funeral but have been engaged in other issues and hence have to stay”, she said.
“I urge all Ghanaians and Asanteman to take heart because God knows best” she added.
The queen mother advised her colleagues, queen mothers to emulate the lifestyle of the late Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II for effective governance of their communities.
