The Inspector General Of Police, David Asante Appietu has been petitioned to arrest and interrogate Mr Bugri Naabu, Madam Otiko Djaba and Mr Rockson Bukari all stalwarts of the NPP in connection with the murder of Adams Mahama.
Mr John Bambir, leader of the Coalition for Restoration (CFR), a civil society group on Top FMs Morning show Ghana Te Sen said, the allegation leveled against Madam Otiko Djaba and Mr Rockson Bukari, Gender and Upper East Regional Minister respectively by the Northern Regional Chairman of the NPP Mr Bugri Naabu of having hands in the death of the late Adams Mahama, Upper East Regional chairman of the NPP cannot be overlooked.
He said they have petitioned the unbiased office of the IGP to handle the issue accordingly to satisfy the Ghanaian citizenry.
The gruesome death of the former Upper East Regional chairman of the NPP has resulted in the apprehension of Gregory Afoko by the police as a prime suspect of the murder.
Touching on Afoko’s arrest he said, “Bugri Naabu, Otiko Djaba and Rockson Bukari should have the same treatment as that of Gregory Afoko.
He said the justice demanded the families of Adams Mahama solely lies in the hands of the IGP and hence look forward to the quick reply from his (IGP) office even though he has not been time bonded.
The statement said “Coming from no other person than a whole regional chairman of the ruling government, we find it very worrying that, up till now Madam Otiko Djaba, Mr Bukari Rockson and Mr Bugri Nabu are still walking free without invitation from the police administration over such allegations for which Gregory Afoko and others are standing trial”.
Mr Bambir said they however appreciate the efforts of the police in trying hard to delve into the crux of the matter to enable them exact a criminal standard so as to bring the perpetrators to book.
In addition, the recent veil lifted by Mr Bugri Nabu with respect to Mahama Adams’ death of which Mr Rockson and Otiko Djaba were fingered (on audio) is enough evidence to support the ongoing investigation.
