Tullow Ghana Limited has reduced gas supply to the Ghana National Gas Company (Ghana Gas) by 40 million standard cubic feet (mmscfd) a day.
“Tullow has consequently revised downward available natural gas supply from the present 90 million standard cubic feet of gas a day (mmscfd) to 50 mmscfd.”
This according to a statement signed by Alfred Ogbamey, Corporate Communications Manager of Ghana Gas stated that, the down cut is to do some remediation works required upstream.
“Tullow Ghana Limited, operators of the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah, today informed the Ghana National Gas Company (Ghana Gas) of critical turret remediation works required upstream.”
The information has been communicated to the Volta River Authority (VRA).
“Ghana Gas has informed the Volta River Authority (VRA), its main downstream gas off-taker and other partners of reduction in the availability of lean gas and associated gas products within the period as a result of challenges on the Jubilee Field.”
