With barely 36 days to the December 7, presidential elections the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring a second term victory for the President John Dramani Mahama in this year’s electioneering campaign.
The quest for the NDC to annex the presidency for the third time running is prosecuting a three-prong approach to the elections with the President leading a team of the campaign as well as the Vice President and the Chief of Staff leading the other.
Whilst the President is the Eastern region climaxing his tour of the region, the Chief of Staff Julius Debrah is leading a high powered campaign team made up of some old guards of the party to the Volta Region today.
The Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur will today visit the Northern region as part of the JM ‘Toaso’ campaign dubbed ‘Changing lives and Transforming lives’.
The Vice President is leading a team of party stalwarts as part of the three -prong approach to campaigning ahead of the elections
The Vice President’s campaign will today Tuesday November 1, begin a four- day campaign tour of the Northern Region.
The tour will take Mr Amissah-Arthur to the Kumbungu Constituency , Bunkpurugu/ Yunyoo Constituency , Nalerigu Constituency, Savelugu Constituency and Tamale all the Northern Region.
The Vice President is expected to call on chiefs and opinion leaders, meet with party supporters and interact with some students, among others.
This is Mr Amissah-Arthur’s second campaign tour of the Northern Region in the last few weeks.
