A member of Pressure Group, Occupy Ghana, Kweku Segbefia has stated that, his group will fight till every pesewa of the money given to businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome is retrieved, even with their last breath.
In an interview with Yaa Titi Okrah Yangy on Top FM’s News Analysis program Enne Ghana, he said majority of Ghanaians are committed to the collection of the money and hence ready to fight for it.
He asked that the Minister of Communications Dr Edward Omane Boamah’s step aside if he is not ready to join the battle in collecting the money with regards to his statement on “no government will be able to retrieve the money” describing it as not being realistic.
He condemned the new contract that has been given to Woyome expressing his disappointment that he does not deserve it. He said Woyome has no grounds on which he could be awarded another contract from the state.
Meanwhile embattled businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome has denied allegations made by popular pressure group Occupy Ghana that he’s entered into a GHC35 million contract with the government through one of his companies, Anator Holdings Company Limited.
It is very clear that, the NDC government does not want to retrieve the money and doing anything possible to sabotage Martin Amidu’s effort in retrieving the money.
He said this actions of the government made Woyome escape jail.
Kweku Segbefia added that, a very serious government will be able to retrieve the money, “nothing can stop about 2.5 million Ghanaians who rise to collect the money, not even the military he added.
