Chairman of the Committee, Kennedy Osei Nyarko said it is regrettable that the final Ghanaian consumer will have to bear the consequences.
He asked the Minister of Transport to formulate laws to regulate the charges of the shipping lines.
Deputy Transport Minister Hon Fredrick Obeng Adom moved for the acceptance and parliament subsequently approved Nine Hundred and Twenty-One Million, Eight Hundred and Forty-Three Thousand Ghana Cedis, GHC 921,843,000
However, the ranking member on the committee, Kwame Agbodza Governs called on the government to be proactive in solving transport problems in Ghana.
