Engineer Abdulai Mahama is strongly convinced that the collection of Road tolls will return.

According to him, “even developed countries still collect tolls for the development of anything on roads and even other sectors”.

Abolishing toll collection in Ghana is one of the absurd decisions ever taken by the Roads minister, the Materials Engineer at Comptran Engineering And Planning Associate told Maame Yaa Boakye in an interview on Enne Ghana on Top 103.1 FM.

The Ministry of Roads and Highways Kwasi Amoako-Atta on Thursday, November 18, 2021directed the cessation of the collection of road and bridge tolls at all locations nationwide.

The directive follows indications in the 2022 Budget presented to Parliament on Wednesday by the Finance Minister, in which he announced government’s intention to abolish road tolls when the budget is approved.
