Local league players should be paid at least GH 1,000 monthly – William Amamoo

Former black Stars goalkeeper ,William Amamoo says government should at least support our local league clubs $1m which will help our local  league to be competitive and will attract more sponsors .

He disclosed this during an interview with Nana Yaw Asare (NAYAS) the host of “Top Sports” live on Top103.1fm.

William disclosed that this initiative will also help the players to be paid well at least GH 1000 monthly: players will focus more on local teams and league.

He said when a player receive good money here in Ghana he won’t bother himself travelling outside the country.

He ended by saying that Black Stars will beat Nigeria and they will qualify for Qatar 2022 world Cup.

The ex- black Stars goalkeeper William Amamoo explained that , he believe in the current black Stars team and they can beat Nigeria in the world Cup play -off home and away which is scheduled on Sunday 25th march for the first leg at cape coast stadium and the second leg on Tuesday 29th march in Abuja, Nigeria.
