The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme has put in place measures to Scout for Innovation Ideas through contests, challenges, competitions in partnership with corporate institutions and foundations, offer study tours to both local and international incubators and Hubs, and promote online entrepreneurship and innovation Courses for the Ghanaians, especially the youth.
Chief Executive Officer for the programme Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, emphasized that, this will serve as a vibrant marketplace where Innovators and entrepreneurs can exhibit their innovative products and services.
He added that, the contest will host stakeholders from academia, innovation space, investors, entrepreneurs, Policy makers and others from the innovation and Entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, revealed that NEIP will involve students from second cycle schools across Ghana to show their Innovative skills to equip them do better in their areas of specialty. He made this assertion when the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme launched the national innovation and entrepreneurship week in Accra at the Sussana Lodge hotel.
According to him, this will be done on zonal basis, with schools from various zones participating in series of innovation challenges. The Challenge will encourage students to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems, enhancing their critical thinking abilities and nurturing their entrepreneurial mindset. Schools which present the most Innovative Ideas and make it to the finals will be given awards and will get support from NEIP to commercialize their ideas and solutions.
He therefore called on the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem to join hands with the NATIONAL ENTREPRENUERSHIP & INNOVATION PRLOGRAMME, as it pursue it innovation management programmes, this will spur the growth of the private sector and translate into more job creation for the youth.
