In a letter dated November 17, 2021 to SAFA, copying the Ghana FA, FIFA said the protest filed by the football association of South Africa will be forwarded to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on November 23, 2021.

FIFA also said in their statement that “the GFA has the opportunity to provide the secretariat of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee with any comments it deems appropriate on the protest.”

In a statement released by the GFA on Thursday, November 18, the GFA stated the “we wish to state that we have received correspondence from FIFA and would respond appropriately within the ambit of the FIFA Regulations.”

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee will make a decision on the case after receiving all information by November 23.
