Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has announced that a fresh investigation into cyber-crime in the country will soon uncover three more persons of interest following the arrest of  Frederick Kumi, widely known as Abu Trica.

Speaking about the arrest for the first time, Sam George said the Cyber Security Authority is high on the the heels of others involved saying their arrest is just around the corner.

“Just yesterday, one of my agencies, the Cyber Security Authority, picked up an individual who is supposed to be successful. There’s no peace with that kind of success”.

“There are three more we’re picking up in the next few days,” Mr. Sam George said.

Recall Abu Trica was arrested by a joint security operation involving the United States law enforcement and local security agencies in Accra on December 11, 2025.

He was arrested for his role in an online romance scam which targeted elderly people in the US, defrauding them in large sums amounting to more than $8 million.
