Black Stars midfielder Kwasi Sibo has donated a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine to the Kronum Afracho Polytechnic Hospital in Kumasi to support the treatment of newborn babies with breathing difficulties.
The donation, made through his Sibo Foundation, is aimed at improving neonatal care and helping vulnerable babies who struggle to breathe survive.
The CPAP machine provides respiratory support by delivering a steady flow of air to keep a baby’s airways open, making it an important tool in treating newborns with breathing complications.
Sibo’s gesture highlights his commitment to giving back to his community and using his growing profile in football to support people in need.
The Ghana midfielder, who plays for Libyan side Asswehly SC, has continued to combine his professional career with philanthropic activities through his foundation.
His latest intervention is expected to strengthen the hospital’s capacity to care for newborns requiring breathing assistance, while offering hope to families facing potentially life-threatening complications after childbirth.
Access to essential medical equipment remains crucial in improving the quality of care available to newborns, particularly those who require immediate respiratory support.
Meanwhile, Sibo is expected to return to the Black Stars squad for next month’s double-header against Somalia in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The midfielder is currently preparing with his Asswehly SC teammates for their CAF Champions League preliminary-round second-leg match against Esperance this weekend.
