All appears set for President Akufo-Addo to finally deliver the State of the Nation Address in Parliament today, Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
This year’s address which was scheduled for Thursday, March 3, 2022, was postponed indefinitely amid claims by the Deputy Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, that the Speaker and the leadership of Parliament have not been able to communicate and give the President the green light for the presentation.
The address by the President is expected to provide insight into the government’s key policy objectives and deliverables for the year ahead.
It will also allow the President to highlight the achievements of his government, challenges faced and also outline developmental measures
The President will deliver the address after Tuesday’s triple celebration of his 78th birthday, the passage of the E-Levy bill by Parliament, and the qualification of the Black Stars to the World Cup.
