C/R: Girl, 10, Escapes Assassination At Mankessim After Testifying In Court

A ten-year-old class four girl of the Mankessim Anglican School in the Mfantseman constituency in the Central Region, has narrowly escaped assassination after appearing before the Mankessim District Court as witness to a theft case.

The girl following her attempted assassination on Monday around 8:30am while in school, reported of headache and asked of a leave from her teacher to go home for medication but got attacked on her way by some anonymous assailants.

according to reports, the assailants numbering three, were all in facemask.

The embattled girl following her life threatening attack, had testified before the court in a case involving a guy named, Majeed who was allegedly spotted by the victim and her friends steeling a tricycle (aboboyaa) announced in the area to have been missing for days.

Perpetrators in their quest to harm the victim after tying her mouth and hands, and in an attempt to tie her legs, noticed the approach of some persons towards the uncompleted building their heinous act was been executed and had to flee for their lives before been figured out.

Victim when rescued from the uncompleted building she was held hostage with her school uniform on, had her mouth sealed with an handkerchief and hands tied with a lemon coloured rope.

Beatrice Daamoah, mother of the victim in a media engagement, disclosed to have spotted the accused thief on several occasions pointing her daughter to his friends, identifying her as the girl who testified against him in court.

She recounted that the fear of her daughter getting endangered by the actions of the suspected thief, led her to inform the CID handling the case, who later called the man to order but has since had the accused intimidate her daughter on several instances.

To this, she noted to suspect the accused thief who her daughter testified against in court to be the one behind her girl’s attempted murder
