Established several years ago by the Ghana Tourism Authority, the National Chocolate Month has celebrated and promoted the domestic consumption of cocoa products, local farmers, and offered a healthy,, alternative to Valentine’s Day.
The 2026 celebrations, themed “Love & Cocoa Month”, will feature nationwide activities including chocolate fairs, tastings, hotel, and restaurant, promotions as well as educative tours for school children.
In line with this year’s National Chocolate Month, CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority, Mrs. Maame Efua Houadieto, led an educational excursion with school children from Chorkor to Fairafric Ghana Limited, a cocoa-to-chocolate manufacturing company.
The tour was to offer the students a firsthand look at how Ghana’s cocoa is transformed into finished chocolate products.
