The NPP parliamentary candidate for Suhum Constituency in the Eastern Region hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe a.k.a Protozoa has started the reshaping of 25 kilometres deplorable roads in Akorabo communities in the Suhum Municipality.
NPP Parliamentary candidate hopeful for Suhum, Frank Asiedu Bekoe has redeemed his pledge of reshaping the 25-kilometre roads which links some communities in his constituency.
The road connects residents Amanshyia, Amede, Supresu to Nankese in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The repair and reshaping come after their primaries after he promised cocoa farmers, pregnant women and ill persons who were in difficulties in and around the aforementioned communities to fix it for them.
The 25-kilometres roads link these communities to towns and villages but the deplorable nature compelled most activities to grand to a halt.
Due to the nature of the roads, pupils had to trek to and from school. Farm produce were stuck in the bushes, since okada riders and vehicles that were supposed to convey them refused due to the nature of the roads.
The nature of the roads before the reshaping
The NPP Parliamentary candidate toured and inspected the areas to ascertain the extent of the damage of the roads. The aspiring candidate after the tour, promised to do what he could to help put the roads in good shape.
The residents were very elated for the aspiring candidate when he brought the grader to reshape the roads for them.
They explained that when the road is reshaped it will allow okada and other vehicles to ply it to make their lives better. The residents said they carry expectant father on the roads to the health centre because no vehicle was able to ply on the roads until the candidate came to their aid.
They promised to vote for him as their MP coming 2024 general elections since he did not fail them as Parliamentary Candidate.
The reshaped roads
When asked what he would do to get the roads tarred completely, Mr. Frank Asiedu Bekoe, speaking with Top fm reporter Nana Ama, said such roads are beyond his capacity as an Parliamentary Candidate but he will channel it through the Roads Ministry to see what can be done.
He explained that, already, he has started talking to the sector Minister on some of the deplorable roads in his constituency so the road in question would be added to it. He said.
