According to reports, a farmer named Emma has turned himself in to the police at Asiri in the Jaman North District following a violent altercation with his brother and sister-in-law over a cashew farm at Tain-Ano No. 1 in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region.
The suspect who has had a long standing dispute with his brother over the rightful owner of the plantation was said to be working on the farm when the incident happened.
His brother along with wife went to the farm to order him to leave the farm. His resistance led to a heater confrontation.
Emma who was armed with a machete at the time inflicted deep cuts on his brother and sister-in-law and later fled the scene to report to the police what had happened.
The injured victims were rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital in Drobo, and are said to be currently responding to treatment.
