The board and management of Asante Kotoko have issued an apology to supporters following mounting concern over the club’s recent performances and the continued absence of a substantive head coach.

In a statement signed by Communications Director Sarfo Duku (Esq.), the club acknowledged the disappointment of fans, admitting that recent results have fallen below the standards expected of the Kumasi-based giants.

“The board and management… acknowledge the concerns raised by our supporters regarding the absence of a substantive head coach and the team’s recent poor results,” the statement said, adding that they fully understand the expectations placed on the club.

Management confirmed that processes are underway to appoint a permanent head coach whose philosophy aligns with the club’s long-term vision. Supporters were also urged to remain patient as the leadership works to identify the right candidate to steer the team forward.

The club further apologized for recent underwhelming performances, assuring fans that steps are being taken to restore Kotoko to its traditional competitive level.

“The future of this club remains our top priority, and we are committed to making the right choices moving forward,” the statement added, while calling for continued support for the remainder of the season.

The apology comes at a difficult moment for the Porcupine Warriors, who have struggled for consistency in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

Following a 4-0 defeat to Medeama SC last Sunday, Kotoko now shift focus to their Matchday 30 fixture against Hohoe United before an away trip to face Dreams FC in Matchday 31.
