The concerned traders of Akyem believed to be members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have called on former president John Dramani Mahama to as a matter of urgency come to their rescue as they have been neglected by the leadership of the municipality after the 13th September, 2021 Oda central market fire outbreak.

According to the concerned traders who operate in the Birim Central municipality of Eastern region they claimed that His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo visiting the municipality after the fire outbreak authorized MASLOC and Ghana Enterprise Agency (GEA) to give them soft loan but their names were sadly removed from the list after filling loan forms and didn’t get some till date.

They further lamented that all the traders have been asked by the municipal authorities to sit in the open street under the scorching sun to sell which isn’t good for their health condition and thieves are not giving them free space either.

The concerned traders of Akyem Oda who claim to be members of NDC are therefore calling on former president John Dramani Mahama to attend to them as they believe he is the only true leader to rescue them.
