Patronize locally produced poultry products over imported ones – Agric Minister

Government in the coming years 2024 will distribute over 17million day old chicks, vaccines and starter packs to nine hundred out grower farm we have in the country to support the nine anchor farmers who process the farms, this is to encourage and rehabilitate them to enable them feed the anchor farmers to be able to process.

As government has targeted to move from 5 to 10% self sufficient within the poultry sector to boost the Agric business in the country.

Sector minister and Member of parliament for Abitifi constituency Hon. Bryan Acheampong, urged Ghanaians to patronize locally produced poultry products ahead of the imported ones from other countries to help boost the locally economy and also make the Ghanaian poultry industry more vibrant like the countries we import from.

The minister speaking at has called general public to patronize or consume locally produced poultry products ahead of the imported ones from other country that comes with health implications after consumption compared to the locally produced ones. He made this assertion at the presidential launch of youth in planting for food and Job in Accra.
