The IGP’s Special Intelligence Team in connection with police in the Savanah Region have arrested three suspects for their involvement in murder and causing harm at Gbiniyiri in the Savannah Region.
Arrested on March 14, 2026, the suspects are identified as Yaw Bamuah, Yaa Bokaa and Kuma Simpor.
Suspect Yaw Bamuah during interrogation admitted his involvement in the crime and pointed out other accomplices who are currently being investigated by police.
The suspects also added that their attacks were in response to a robbery incident which led to the death of a relative who they believed was attacked by some Fulani headsmen in the area.
A search conducted at the house of the suspect led to the retrieval of a single barrel shotgun with serial number BAT 2598-88 and two AAA cartridges from a hidden spot within the compound.
The suspects are currently in police custody helping with investigations.
