Founder of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako has cautioned the general public against an alleged fraudulent online investment scheme that is unlawfully using his name, image and voice to scam unsuspecting people.
In a post shre on his social media handles Nana Kwame Bediako said:
“The Office of Nana Kwame Bediako wishes to draw the attention of the general public to the emergence of fraudulent online investment schemes that are unlawfully using the name, image, voice, and likeness of Nana Kwame Bediako to misinform and deceive unsuspecting individuals.
These scams, which are circulating across various social media platforms, deploy manipulated videos and audio generated through artificial intelligence to imitate his voice and persona. In several instances, these materials also incorporate images and videos of well-known news presenters and reputable media organizations to create a false impression of authenticity and credibility.
The perpetrators falsely present Nana Kwame Bediako as a spokesperson for a purported government-backed investment initiative. They further claim that individuals who invest in such schemes are guaranteed significant financial returns, or will receive compensation from the government if such returns are not realized.
The Office wishes to state clearly that Nana Kwame Bediako has no involvement whatsoever in any such investment schemes or initiatives. These claims are entirely false, misleading, and malicious.
The general public is strongly advised to disregard these videos, links, and messages, and to exercise extreme caution when engaging with online investment opportunities.
The Office also issues a firm warning to all individuals and groups behind these fraudulent activities to desist immediately. Nana Kwame Bediako will not hesitate to pursue all available legal action against any persons found to be perpetrating such scams using his identity.
These fraudulent materials have been reported to the relevant social media platform operators for immediate action. Additionally, steps are being taken to engage the nation’s cybersecurity authorities to investigate and ensure that appropriate sanctions are applied to those responsible.
