Arise Ghana Organizers Are Notorious – Former MP

Collins Owusu Amankwah, a former Manhyia North MP, has said the organizers of the Arise Ghana demonstration are notorious as such turning Nkrumah Circle into a chaotic scene on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

The demonstrators and the Police clashed when the former pelted stones at the security personnel while the latter responded with tear gas and water cannons.

The organizers of the demonstration, afterwards, held a press conference and blamed the Police for the incident.

They claimed the Police planted some of their officers in the midst of the demonstrators to throw stones at their fellow officers in uniform so that the demonstrators will take the blame for the chaos.

But Collins Owusu Amankwah has rubbished these claims by the organizers.

He ridiculed them for pointing fingers at the Police as he found it senseless for the Police to use their own men to injure themselves asking “for what reason will they do such a thing?”.

“I haven’t seen demonstrators that the organisers are so notorious like the so called Arise Ghana . . “ he said.
