The Black Stars technical team visited the maternity ward of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital to make a donation in support of new mothers and their babies.
The delegation was led by head coach Otto Addo and included GFA President Kurt Okraku, assistant coaches Desmond Ofei, Kim Lars Bjorkegren and Alain Ravera, as well as technical advisor Winfried Schäfer. Also present were Chief of Staff Michael Osekre and Communications Director Henry Asante Twum.
An unspecified amount was donated on behalf of the technical team and the Ghana Football Association as a contribution toward the upkeep of the mothers and newborns at the facility. The team also spent time interacting with hospital staff and patients during the visit.
Otto Addo praised the work of the hospital, acknowledging its role in serving the community despite challenges.
“Big, big respect for what you have been doing the last year,” he said, adding that the support would not be a one-time gesture.
The coaches are currently in Ghana to scout players in the domestic leagues and will continue meetings with the GFA as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars are also scheduled to play Austria and Germany in international friendlies in March as part of their build-up to the tournament.
