NDC Parliamentary candidates for Suhum Constituency Prince Kwadwo Addo Tabiri, has kick-started the construction of 10 mechanized boreholes across the Constituency to help curb water challenges in the area.
The areas is, Agbayiza, Suhum Presec, Kukua, Koransang, Okanta, Akorabo, Abisim, Nankese, Supresu and Amanshyia.
The construction, done in with Help is to provide potable water for constituents and also salvage the problem of water scarcity in the area.
At a ceremony to break the grounds to start the project, Suhum NDC Chairman Afasi Dzipha Richard who represent the NDC Parliamentary Candidate Hon. Prince Kwadwo Addo Tabiri speaking with Top fm reporter Nana Ama, said the intervention was part of his Suhum Initiative, aimed at undertaking development projects that would help to improve the living standards of constituents.
He relayed his passion in undertaking and completing projects that will improve quality health care and education in the constituency. According to the Chairman, NDC parliamentary Candidate hon. Prince Kwadwo Addo Tabiri, he saw the need to construct the boreholes to facilitate free flow of quality water, improved personal hygiene to motivate learning among students and quality healthcare in the school.
He said the scarcity of water was a major problem that inhabitants in the area faced, hence the gesture.
He said the projects were not limited to the provision of potable water to the people, but other developments that would transform the Suhum Constituency to enhance the livelihoods of residents.
He said the boreholes would be of great help to beneficiaries, adding that, they would have easy access to potable water.
He said the projects to be undertaken in the Suhum Presbyterian Senior High School would help to promote unity among Students in the school, adding, these projects will encourage beneficiaries to live their lives according to the teachings and doctrines of the Prophet.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Parliamentary Candidate and his partners for the intervention and said, they are happy to receive these projects in our communities and they appeal for more.
They added that, the problem their facing in the area is they drink water with animals which is not helping their health. They said.
