The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has launched key reforms to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public lands administration. Deputy Minister Hon. Alhaji Yusif Sulemana announced the updates, highlighting revisions to the public land application form (Form 5) and internal processes for land allocations.

The revised Form 5 is now the single mandatory application instrument nationwide, available for download on the Lands Commission website. Applicants can submit forms electronically, promoting ease and convenience. This move is expected to reduce bureaucracy and streamline the application process.

Hon. Sulemana emphasized that these reforms demonstrate the government’s commitment to responsible land management. The ministry will ensure effective implementation and monitor progress, engaging stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

The reforms address issues arising from previous allocations, ensuring fairness and transparency. Applicants are encouraged to use the revised Form 5 for new applications, promoting a culture of compliance. The ministry aims to enhance public trust in land administration.

The Lands Commission will publish the revised Form 5 on its website, facilitating easy access. Technical teams will provide support to applicants, ensuring a smooth transition. The ministry’s efforts aim to promote sustainable land use and development in Ghana.
