Municipal Chief Executive of Ayawaso East assembly, Hajia Salma Sani Mohammed Adams Kuta, has advice residents within her municipality to take sanitation issue very seriously as it has implications on our health and livelihood.
According to her, it is a collective responsibility to ensure cleanliness of our surroundings as the Assembly has implemented its sanitation by-laws from February 1, which comes with sanctions and fines.
This initiative aims to enforce sanitation regulation within the Greater Accra Region as part of the ‘Make Greater Accra Work Again’ programme being championed by the Regional Coordinating Council with the support of all MMDCEs.
She added that defaulters of the sanitation bye-law would be punished depending on the gravity of the offense without favor from any government or party officials.
