Police in the Eastern Region have announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with a robbery incident on January 18, 2026 at Sikakon Down, near Comet Estate in the Eastern Region.
It was revealed during police investigations that the one of the suspect and an accomplice who is currently deceased contracted the services of an okada rider, Muntari Zakari from Kwabenya to Sikakon Hospital and attacked him with a locally manufactured pistol and a stone, robbing him off his iPhone 13 pro and ordered him to hand over the keys of his unregistered Royal motorcycle.
The lead suspect identified as Kwabla Egblorgbe Gadoglo Mohammed, alias Moha aged 31 was arrested at his hideout in Afienya on February February 13, 2026 while another suspect identified as Kwame Accolor alias Small Kidi, aged 37 was also arrested at Anyako in the Volta Region, for buying the stolen iPhone 13 pro at an amount of GHS 800.
Police have since commenced investigations to retrieve the locally manufactured gun used to commit the crime.
