The Oti Regional Police Command through intelligence led operation arrested a driver with large quantities of suspected drugs hidden in a DAF Long trailer with registration number GW 1943-09 at Dambai.
The truck, though empty at the time of the search had been modified with secret compartments sealed with six metal plates.
Police opened the secret compartments in the presence of suspect identified as Amadu Jubril only to discover 4,000 parcels of substance suspected to narcotics hidden beyond the eye.The suspect is currently in custody with the truck impounded as investigations continue to arrest anyone involved.
