Ghana Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has shared her heartfelt condolence message to the departed heroes of the Adansi helicopter crush on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Through her social media pages, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang called the departed souls “dedicated sons of our land who served Ghana with honour and commitment.”
The tragic accident which has since blown cold air over the country it tears and wailing took the lives of Dr. Edward Omane Boamah (Minister For Defense), Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed (Minister For Environment Science and Technology), Dr. Samuel Sarpong (NDC National Vice Chairman), Flying Officer Twum Ampadu, Mr. Samuel Aboagye (Former Parliamentary Candidate), Alhaji Muniru Mohammed (Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator).
The remaining victims of the fatal helicopter crush at Sikaman in the Adansi Akrofuom area of the Ashanti Region include
Squadron Leader Peter Anala (Pilot) and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
“These were dedicated sons of our land who served Ghana with honour and commitment.
On behalf of the government and people of Ghana, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. We share in your grief and pray that the Almighty grants you comfort and strength during this unimaginably difficult time.
His Excellency the President has declared three days of national mourning in honour of the deceased. We call on all Ghanaians to join in this period of reflection and remembrance.
We respectfully urge the public and media to accord the families the privacy and space they need to grieve and heal in peace.
May the souls of our departed countrymen rest in perfect peace.”
