Personnel from the Suhum Municipal Fire Station of the Ghana National Fire Service responded to a road traffic collision at Teacher Mantey on the Accra–Kumasi Highway in the early hours of 7th March.
A six-member rescue team led by ADOII Ocansey Bright arrived at the scene to find a Toyota Voxy crashed into a parked MAN Diesel truck. Firefighters retrieved the body of a male occupant trapped in the Voxy and handed it over to the police.
Eyewitnesses indicated that the Toyota Voxy, allegedly overspeeding, ran into the stationary truck, leaving the vehicle extensively damaged. The crew later cleared the scene and returned safely to base.
