Two people have been pronounced dead with 19 others sustaining severe injuries following a deadly accident on the N1 Highway close to the Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra.
The crash which happened on the evening of Monday, February 23, 2026 involved multiple vehicles including a Sprinter bus with registration number GX 8325-13, Volvo trailer with registration number GT 7856-20 and a Kia motor with the number GG 1304-18.
The GNFS in an official statement revealed that rescue team arrived at the scene of the accident around 8:14 p.m. after receiving a distress call at about 7:58 p.m.
Two people died on the spot while 19 others involved in the accident were transported to the 37 Military Hospital for treatment.
Ghana National Fire Service has since cleared the road with emergency officers restoring traffic flow following the accident.
