Students and teachers of Anum Presbyterian School (ANSEC) are facing serious challenges due to a lack of access to water on the school compound.

The issue was highlighted by the headmistress, Mrs. Stella Naa Enyo Atiase, during a recent Parent-Teacher Association, PTA, meeting on the 9th May, 2026, where she raised concerns about how the situation is affecting sanitation and the smooth running of academic activities.
According to her, the shortage of water is making it difficult for pupils and staff to maintain proper hygiene, raising concerns about health and the overall learning environment.
School authorities are therefore appealing for urgent support from government agencies, the community, old students, and non-governmental organizations to help resolve the situation.
She further disclosed that the school has only two security personnel, one assigned to the morning shift and the other for the evening shift, leaving gaps in security coverage during the day.
According to her, this situation raises concerns about the safety of pupils, staff, and school property.
