The news of the demise of former second lady of the Republic has hit all country people so hard with grief.
H.E. Hajia Rahmatu Aliu Mahama was the wife of the late vice president, Dr Aiu Mahama.
After the news, many dignitaries took to social media to pour out their condolence.
Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia wrote this on his facebook timeline, “Inaa Lillah wa inaa ilaihi raji-un,
“I have learnt with sadness the passing of H.E. Hajia Rahmatu Mahama, former Second Lady of the Republic.
Hajia Rahmatu was a loving mother and a great source of inspiration to me. I will miss her dearly.
May the Almighty Allah welcome her and also grant her Jannatul Firdaus.”
Current first lady of the country, Mrs Rebecca Akuffo Addo also wrote this on her timeline on facebook.
“I am saddened to hear of the passing of former second lady, H.E. Hajia Rahmatu Aliu Mahama.
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family in these difficult times.
May your soul rest in perfect peace Hajia.”
