Popular Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall musician, Samini has hailed “Fortified” crooner, Black Sherif for his music and said he wish to see him grow into his old days whiles still doing active music.
According to him, seeing Black Sherif get all the attention he’s getting only reminds him of when he was also coming up as an artiste some years ago.
“I would love to see Blacko as 45, still relevant and a bigger artiste than he is now, because that’s my story. You know, I was that young when I saw everything. I saw the money. I saw all the women. I saw everything. So I see him, and I just hope, and I know he knows,” Samini said in an interview with GTV on February 18.
The veteran artiste who released his 8th studio album last week said, Black Sherif’s energy when performing on stage shoes just reminds him of his past sold out event during his emerging days.
“It takes one to know one. When I see the young chap and when the vibe interacts for a few seconds every time we do, I know he knows where he’s coming from, and I would just be happy to see, like a 20-year-old span of Blacko. Imagine the things we are yet to hear.”
Samini further added that he travelled out of the country in 2004 for an event in London, which opened his eye to more things in the industry and would wish all the best things come to Black Sherif.
“That’s what I had. Right from the ages of 18 to 21, I was on TV, on stage, on tour, and travelling. The first time I got to even get out if the country was in 2004. Yeah that’s like 22 years ago that I played my first show in London.
