Serwaa Amihere has accepted the government’s decision to get the citizens vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
In a tweet by the News Anchor, she has issued a warning to people opposing the vaccination, saying they should stay home if they do not want to take the covid jab
Her statements come in opposition to Efia Odo and Sammy Gyamfi’s take on mandatory vaccination.
In objection, actress Efia Odo has decided to stay in the country and not travel because she is not ready to take any disapproved vaccine.
Sammy Gyamfi, on the other hand, has said that “Vaccination must be by choice and not by force”.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Chapter of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC), Geneva, Switzerland has condemned an attempt by the government to impose vaccination on Ghanaians.
The Human rights group believes the action by the government to carry out such an exercise is against the people’s rights and freedom and does not have any basis in the 1992 constitution and Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations.
“Vaccination should be by choice and not by force. Per the reports gathered so far from our international researchers, we think that it is advisable for the government to allow ordinary Ghanaians to decide rather than imposing it on them,” it said in a statement
