Five people have been been pronounced dead following a head-on collision involving a Toyota Hiace bus and a DAF truck on Saturday, 20 December 2025, at Ayensudo Meyinda on the Cape Coast-Takoradi highway.
Rescuers from the Komenda Fire Station were swiftly dispatched to the scene to managed the situation which had seen both car completely mangled.
It is yet unclear but investigations are still ongoing to identify what led to the crush involving truck with registration number GG 3227-25 and the bus with registration number GW 9373-22.
The five deceased passengers trapped inside the Hiace bus had to be extricated by Firefighters adding to the severity of the accident.
