Multiple award winning Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Samini has shared a personal health experience which he kept to himself for 10 years.
According to him, he had hernia but kept it cool for 10 years without spreading the news until it was time for him to undergo surgery.
Speaking on the Health Quarters podcast, the “Summer King’ said only close family members and associates knew about the pain he was going through.
“I still kept it cool and did that last performance. Anybody watching me knew I wasn’t my normal self. I used only half my energy.”
Samini said he later considered going for surgery after his team had pilled pressure on him to go so as to avoid any medical complications in the future.
“When I finally spoke to my team and we did the test, it turned out to be a hernia I had kept for over ten years..”
“Thankfully, it hadn’t developed into something worse,” he added.
