Gabby Otchere-Darko has revealed that former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta is ever ready to come to Ghana amidst the ongoing legal battles involving him.

Speaking in an interview on GHOne television, Gabby Otchere-Darko said all allegations that the Former Finance Minister does not want to return to the country are false and baseless.

“Why would he not return to Ghana? I believe Ken will come to Ghana, and I know he wants to come”.

“Not so long ago,” he said when asked if he has been speaking to Ken Ofori-Atta.

Speaking about his current state of health following his recent detention by ICE in the USA, Gabby Otchere-Darko said he had not spoken to him after his arrest by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“He is doing well from what I heard because I haven’t spoken to him since his detention, but I am sure he is doing well. He is strong man mentally, so I am sure that will protect him”.

Ken Ofori-Atta was detained over the status of his stay in the United States and subsequently appeared before immigration court in Virginia on January 20, 2026.

Meanwhile, Ken Ofori-Atta’s bond hearing on his bail application has been scheduled February 19, 2026
