Kotoko is the face of football in Ghana – Lawyer Oduro Sarfo

Communications Director for Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, Lawyer Sarfo Oduro has touted the club as the face of Ghanaian football.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Yaw Asare on Top Sports on September 10, 2025, he mentioned that the laurels of Kumasi Asante Kotoko over the years makes the club, the leading force when it comes to club soccer.

According to Sarfo Oduro even the big names in African football takes recognition anytime the name of Kotoko is mentioned to them as opponent, which makes the team one of the favorite in any competition.

He also added that, Kumasi Asante Kotoko does not go to tournament just to add up to the numbers but to also compete at the highest level and show the amazing talent that dwells in Ghana.

“We are going for the ultimate” he said while answering if Kotoko is ready for the upcoming Confederation Cup game against Kwara United at the Accra Sports stadium.

‘We have the players that can compete and win at the highest level in any competition, Kotoko is the face of Ghana football so anytime we go into an event we go like winners and to just add up to the numbers.
