Ghanaian afropop artist, Camidoh, wants his colleagues in the industry to embark on international trips to help promote their music in other countries.
The singer, in an interview with journalists in Accra just a few days after his arrival from his first-ever trip to Nigeria, acknowledged the importance of international collaborations and urged Ghanaian musicians to explore the global market through brand activation tours.
This comes barely a month after he reached the Number 1 spot on Nigeria’s Apple Music Chart with a remix of his hit song, ‘Sugarcane.’
The song, which featured fellow Ghanaian singer, King Promise, as well as Nigeria’s Mayorkun and Darkoo, peaked at Number 1 on Nigeria’s Top 100 Music Chart on Apple Music in the first week of May, barely a month after its release.
Camidoh, who is 28 years old, and known in private life as Raphael Kofi Attachie, is also a rapper and a record producer.
