A driver has been reported in a trailer crash at Kordzeto near Hohoe in the Volta Region.
News of the accident emerged on Thursday, February 26, 2026, indicating that the driver had been trapped in the wreckage after the trailer carrying cement crashed.
Ghana National Fire Service officers were swiftly dispatched to the scene to help with rescue efforts, the driver unfortunately shortly after he was removed from the wreckage.
Identity of the driver is not yet known but the accident caused very significant damage to the trailer truck and its cargo.
The accident scene has since been cleared for free flow of traffic after passengers and road users waited several hours for emergency workers to do their job.
