The governing New Patriotic Party on the 26th of May 2023, opened for nomination for party members who are of good standing and have declared their intention to contest on the ticket of the party in the coming 2024 general election to pick form. The exercise forms part of the party’s processes for the final leg of its internal elections to elect a flag bearer to contest the 2024 general election.
Ten stalwarts of the party picked form to contest the party’s flagbearership which is slated for November 4 this year. Only nine out of the ten aspirants have officially submitted their forms to the party’s leadership to affirm their intent to lead the party when given the nod in the coming 2024 general election.
The party has slated 24th of June 2023, as it deadline date for the closure of filing of nomination form by all aspirants who have picked form to contest. Former Member of Parliament for Asante Mampong Hon. Ing. Francis Addai Nimoh, is the ninth aspirant to file his presidential nomination form at the party’s headquarters today to officially affirm his desire to lead.
Hon. Addai Nimoh, emphasized that, the party needs a new face to lead as he is the preferred one to lead in breaking the eight years monopoly. According to him, though he has been sideline in the party since the Nana Addo led administration assume office, he has been working tirelessly and defending the party in all times.
He added that reasons why he is not being heard in public space is because he holds no position in the party for him to gain attention from Ghanaians, but has always being contributing his factor to the party’s success.
He urged his supporters {delegates} to go out and campaign as he is most marketable aspirant to lead the party.
