The Minority in Parliament has accused the majority of running from the secret voting of the Akufo-Addo ministerial nominees.
According to the Minority Leader, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, the NPP MPs seem to be panicking and are engaged in delay tactics to ensure the voting process is unnecessarily delayed.
This follows the Friday stalemate that greeted the voting of the recent ministers nominated by President Akufo-Addo.
As of 4:13 pm on Friday, March 24, 2023, the vote to decide the fate of nominees had not been taken, prompting speculations that the leadership of the majority caucus is deliberately buying time to marshall all its numbers to the Chamber.
Sources confirm to Top News indicates that the Minority has been able to account for all its 136 MPs, with the NPP caucus making frantic efforts to do the same.
Addressing the media shortly after the house was suspended, the Minority Leader, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, indicated his side’s resolve to cast their votes and uphold their earlier position.
